Seasons greeting from the Grand Master-in-Chief of the OPD, I would like to thank Prince Roberto Carrillo, former Grand Master, for his friendship 'trust and confidence in my abilities to move our order forward, I am forever in His Highnesses debt for this opportunity.

As the Grand Master-in-Chief it is my duty not only to govern the order but to see that we gain the respect and recognition we have, over the years, strived for under Prince Roberto, for this reason I have decided to create a Council of Noble Patrons under the Grand Master-in-Chief, this council will be separate from Prince Macaks council and will aid me in gaining contacts with the heads of royal and noble houses for the purpose of achieving recognition for the OPD, they shall also advise on proper protocol concerning negotiations with these houses, the Chair and Vice Chair as well as other members of this council will be announced in the new year with a formal declaration.

As you may have noticed, there are some changes concerning positions within the Senate, Comities, Grand Commentaries, Grand Priories, Priories, Legations etc. these will be addressed immediately in the new year, there are openings in these offices that will need to be filled and you may put your name forward for a position with our Grand Chancellor Chev. Robert E.Beck at your earliest convenience, we will hold elections for these positions where there are more than one who apply and where only one has applied, if we feel they are capable they will be granted the position immediately.

In the new year there will be a meeting of the Senate to discus there role in the governance of the OPD after which a confirmation of the procedures will be granted and confirmed.

I thank you all for you patience and support in this time of change and offer you my sincere apologies for the delay in making this announcement. I believe that 2010 will see a great leap forward for the OPD and I am proud to be working with such a dedicated group of Knights and Dames. Thank you all.

The Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary of Romania, Baron Tatomir Marius-Ion of Tambov has written a poem which has been published in the international peace poetry anthology "Paix et Fraternite in Poesie" in dedication to the order's celebration of the International Peace Day on September 21st. The poem is entitled: "May Peace Prevail on Earth".

It would be remembered that this poem has already been written by Baron Tatomir a long time ago during the first years of the order and has dedicated his work to the order's cause. His poem has been first published in the order's old website homepage. Because of this, he has been awarded the honorary title of "Poet Laureate" of the House during that time.

Dear Members of the Order

I greet You all. By this letter I am abdicating to the post of the Honorary Prince Grandmaster  and Noble Patron of the Order of Prince Daniel of Kholm.
I would like to express my deep gratitude and respect to the former Prince Grandmaster Roberto Carrillo Kholmsky Tversky for his perfect service in the name of Chivalry that  was clearly seen in Our Order from its foundation  years ago till His abdication.
I do not have the right to judge the matters of the Order, but the status of things which are as they are today, moved me to take this step, to the abdication.
I wish all members of the Order that they stay in their Chivalric acts firm and strong and that the ideal of Christian Love will found its way from their hearts outwards to the most needy and poor.
This  abdication have immediate effect on this day.

Since the establishment of the Grand Priory of Italy, the Knights and Dames of the order have intiated several projects as activities of the Grand Priory.

The Grand Prior Chev. Dr. Andrea Linciano has established 2 Priories under the jurisdiction of the Grand Priory: The Priory of Veneto headed by its Prior Chev. Dr. Eugenio Montalto, Kt.OPD and the Priory of Piedmonte Chev. Fr. Federico Righi, Kt.OPD.

A Protocol of Friendship, Peace and Brotherhood was also signed by the Grand Prior and Ambassador Chev. Andrea Linciano with the Ordine Militare e Religioso dei Cavalieri di Cristo.

The Grand Priory also undertook humanitarian activities through assistance to the disabled. The Grand Priory also visited schools and kindergartens in Italy to educate the children about chivalry through storytelling.

During the International Peace Day, the Grand Priory visited the Chief Inspector of the Federal Police of France Olivier Glineaur.

The Order also extends their best wishes to Chev. Dr. Steffano Borrelli, Kt.OPD and Dame Fatiha Daryf, Dme.OPD on their wedding during the International Peace Day.
