Office of the Grand Hospitaller
This office coordinates all the charitable and humanitarian works of the order. Projects are enacted on an international scale are coordinated by this office.
 
This office is assisted by the Goodwill Committee, a group of volunteer knights and dames that select and come up with humanitarian works for the order.
 
This office can also ask for the cooperation of  Grand Priories in its international projects.

Background of Chev. Charles Shawn Oak
 
The Grand Hospitaller of the Order of Prince Daniel of Kholm is Chev. Charles Shawn Oak. He is the Chancellor and Board Chairman of the Institute for Masonic Philosophy and Education. The mission IIMPE is to advance knowledge and educate Freemasons in the teachings philosophy of Freemasonry that will best serve the Craft and the world in the 21st century.

Chev. Charles Shawn is a patron of several humanitarian organizations most notably, the RiteCareŽ Childhood Language Program, The Knights Templar Eye Foundation, AbleKids Foundation, and the Masonic Child Identification Program.

Chev. Charles Shawn has been credited with the creation and funding of the "Stepping Stone Project", a substance abuse education, prevention, and treatment program located and operated within a low-income housing project. He also created and developed the first childcare resource information and referral program in southern Indiana in the United States.

Chev. Charles Shawn is also a patron of the arts and is particularly interested in Native American art. He plays the guitar and enjoys a variety of musical genres. Chev. Charles Shawn’s passion also includes photography including nature, sports, and boudoir image making.

Chev. Charles Shawn is currently studying at a leading university in the United States and is currently completing a doctorate of philosophy degree in social work. He is also the been recognized for his academic accomplishments by being named to the Pinnacle National Honor Society, Alpha Chi National Honor Society, Golden Key International Honour Society, Who’s Who Among Americas Universities and Colleges, and named Outstanding Student (Bachelors).

He has been recognized for his humanitarian work. Chev. Charles Shawn was commissioned a Kentucky Colonel in 2001, the highest honor of the State of Kentucky of the United States of America.


Goals

Establish a selection criteria and process to identify, investigate, and adopt international humanitarian organizations.

Identify, establish a supporting relationship, adopt, and publicly promote at least one and no more than three international humanitarian organizations.

Identify and establish a record and database of the humanitarian and charitable support and service by members of the order at all levels, including local community, regional, state or province, national, and international.

Establish a uniform protocol and qualifying criteria for the presentation and of all specific humanitarian projects offered to the order for consideration.

Implement a functioning Good Will committee to evaluate international humanitarian organizations under consideration, maintain ongoing oversight of the function and reputation of the adopted organizations, and consider specific humanitarian projects presented by members of the order.
